Food Match | WINEMAKERVINEYARDOur Arneis is grown at the De Bortoli Shelley’s vineyard on the eastern edge of the Rutherglen region. The site is east facing and produces Arneis with strong varietal definition and flavours. SEASON2021 was a fantastic year to grow grapes in Rutherglen. After regular rainfall events and a mild summer the grapes have ripened to their ultimate potential. The whites in particular have outstanding flavour intensity. TASTING NOTEPale straw with green hues. This wine has lovely fresh acidity, generous rich fruit weight on the mid-palate with a delicate citrus note and textural finish. Spice and pears with hints of almonds. WINE STYLEDry White WINEMAKINGWe fermented the Arneis juice in stainless steel tanks under conditions that retain maximum fruit flavour. We fermented the wine at cool temperatures to accentuate the delicate pears and spice varietal flavours. After fermentation the wine was left on the yeast lees in the tank which were occasionally stirred into the wines to build texture to the mid palate. The wine was left on yeast lees for 2 months before bottling. WINE ANALYSISAlc/Vol: 13.0 %, pH: 3.36, TA: 6.05g/L CELLARINGDrink now and enjoy! ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONVegan |
